Bank of England Speeches Dataset

This page contains the dataset of speeches of Bank of England officials initially collected for Scotto di Vettimo and Koop (2025). The dataset has been compiled by scraping the Bank of England website, and manually annotating a number of relevant covariates for each speech.

Bank of England officials deliver speeches around the world and across the UK

The dataset features 1,390 speeches from Bank officials between May 1997 and June 2025.

The dataset is available from the UK Data Service free of charge for academic research and personal non-commercial use. It can be downloaded by clicking the button on top of this page.
